In a 2024 USC Undergraduate Student Government survey, 42% of student respondents reported difficulty affording necessities and 88% didn’t purchase a required textbook due to cost. Innovative faculty are responding to the textbook affordability crisis through high-quality, low-cost open education resources. Learn how USC instructors adapt or create textbooks and become part of a worldwide movement to support students by incorporating open educational resources into your coursework.
